They see the number but not the soul
See the skin but not the dimension of holiness
simmering in a heart watching as heathens
take blood for a game
watching as brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers
mind the world of a savage.
They see her number
making psychotic arrogance take pleasure
as if their efforts can stop the earth ‘s rotation
Can stop the speed of light, speed of thought
from angel to angel
on the rise.
