Mother and Father’s heroes

My mother and my father’s heroes

Someone thought they never would rise

Someone imagined death a splendid cover

But they covered the world with medicine

Like water seeking the lowest level

Healing a people in a time of unspeakable pain

My applause, rains diamonds in strength

My applause , a thief of every corrupt breath,

Taking this one sign, a requirement today.

  1. aileencarson says:

    Refusing to shuffle integrity
    Understanding the Power of Art
    My heroes
    United to
    Defy whatever falls unmajestic
to cry out in rhythm with
Voices alligned in a billion stars
