Abdul Rahman Ibrahima Ibn Sori (also known as Abdul Rahman), after two more decades and 40 years of enslavement a chance encounter finally led to a breakthrough.
Previously, Rahman was sold to different slave traders until he ended-up in the United States in the year 1788 at the age of 26. This was two years after the signing of the Treaty of Peace and Friendship between the Government of United States and the Empire of Morocco.
